I needed a windshield replacement on a 2019 Santa Fe and the glass place ordered the wrong one. I was told the only difference would be the automatic rain sensor would no longer be operable. I was fine with that. The rain sensor windshield was $600, the one without it, $325. I went with the $325 as this repair was out of pocket. I was unaware that my intermittent wipers would be affected. The Hyundai dealer service department tried to find a way to make the intermittent wipers work. They could not. I don’t understand how a timer function would be controlled by the windshield rain sensor function.
