    Hello,
During lock down, I intend removing the battery from my 2007 2 litre Coupe for maybe 6 months and keep it charged. Can I just then refit and everything be OK?
    Thanks for any replies,
    John.

    Depends on the vehicle
Some require entering a code for the radio to work
Others needs a code for the ECU to function properly
(know this cause some shops won't replace BMW batteries without using a memory saver)
Think Hyundai's require driving a bit for the shift points to be relearned
And then, there are the horror stories.
key fobs aren't recognized after re-installing battery
Alarm goes off and vehicle is never the same again
On some Hyundai, there is a black plug in the dash fuse box
which is pulled out and turned 180 degrees then re-installed to put the vehicle in travel mode
It saves the battery from being discharged while traveling across the ocean.
Don't know if your vehicle has that??
