Is there anything I should watch out for on a Hatch & Bumper replacement
after being rear ended? Estimate calls for a new Hatch and a bumper cover,
paint etc..
About $1850 USD. Was hit by a jeep, which of course rode right up over the
bumper and bashed the hatch.

So much for "uniform bumper height" regulations, right????
This issue has been going on for decades, but the manufacturers
say it's too costly or too restrictive to implement across the board.
But they have no problemm redesigning the style every year!!!!!!

Yup... Of course the SUV owners whom i mentioned it to said I should have
bought a SUV to be "safe". The "Safer SUV" myth is damn annoying... as
roll-overs etc don't count against them. Sometimes I think we need a pack of
Piranha Lawyers to sue for negligence claims due to that design flaw. The
claim for super high bumpers needed for ground clearance really doesn't fly
when the chassis is a foot lower then the bottom of the bumpers. More
Styling over saftey Bullshit.

If you were "rear-ended" by the jeep, it was probably their fault, the other
driver's insurance company will pay to have your car repaired. Insist that
it be repaired at the dealership of your choice and insist on genuine
Hyundai products, do not accept "compatible" components.

If they tell you that they "work with" a body shop in your area, and it
would be "so much easier" to do it their way... tell them that your lawyer
will be in touch with them.
