I've seen several approaching 70k with no major issues. I'm sure there are
a few out there, but it's a little early for 100k. The Sante Fe has only
been in production since the 2001 model year.

    Hi there...
I have a 2001 with almost 195k on it. The only major problem was the
rear Differential. Had a leak in the seal, took it to the dealer they fixed
that. The problem was that they may have f'd up the repair. 3 months later
the Diff ran out of fluid on the highway at high speed.
I managed to get it back to the dealership, they accused the last place
I had the oil changed of not tightening the fill pug properly and they
stated they couldn't get it to seal properly. So, I end up paying 2500.00
    for a new rear differential.
The real story....I got the parts back from the dealer, no prob
tightening and sealing the fill plug. Needless to say she has never been
back to the dealership and I have black listed it on the SF web boards.
Apart for that ...they only real nag is the the power locks. They have
failed twice since I bought it.

The SF is a wonderful SUV. The milage and such is acceptable. One change
once you drive it off the lot, is get a K&N filter for the air breather.
    Increases HP and MPG wonderfully

I am interested in that filter, I just would like a 100% confirmation
that installing it does not void any kind of warranty.

I can't compare in terms of longevity, but in 27k miles I have had 0.0
problems. I do drive on rough terrain at least once a week, New England
winters, I am very pleased of the SUV. I don't like the dashboard, but I
am technically challenged so I can't fix it like I saw on line. Other
than that, nothing bad to report.
