Only had my 2005 for about a week now and loving it. I do however want to
put my after-market radio/Mp3 player into her. Can anyone point me to how
to remove the factory CD/MP3 player?

    Thanks

Try these instructions. Should be the same on 2005 as these were for
    2001-2004.

Remember to pull straight out towards you. grip the panel from in the ash
tray holder. Remember, its plastic, so use some care, and the tabs are not
the thickest I have seen, so take care.

To remove the lower fascia panel; here is how:
    1. remove the ashtray
    2. remove the 2 screws as the ashtray holder
    3. push the lower panel (under ashtray) down with moderate force and then
pull the lower panel out with moderate force also.

    remove upper fascia panel:
    1. remove lower panel first as list above
    2. remove 2 screws under the stereo panel when lower panel is out then you
    will see that 2 screws
    3. pull the upper panel straight out with some force as well.

Pretty easy to remove and the radio screws are right in front after the
    facia is off.

Lots of great stuff on Santa Fe's at www.santafeforum.net
