Should I keep this car as a parts car? Do you know how parts interchange year to year?
I have a 2006 base model Hyundai Sonata with a 4 cyl engine that has something broken inside.
Starts - car can move - but car is not driveable. 178,000 miles.
Body has "walnut damage" -- not hail - walnuts. I don't think it is worth putting an engine in it, or spending a lot of money on.
I bought a 2009 Hyundai Sonata but it is the Limited series with a 4 cyl engine. Should I keep the 2006 sonata for parts for it?
I am thinking it does not make sense to keep the 2006 because there will not be that much the same between the cars - plus always a hassle taking old parts off (and they could be worn).
Advice is appreciated.
2006 Base model Sonata ---------- 2009 Sonata limited (both 4 cylinder engines)
Could get parts off it costing a lot of money?
It seems I should sell the car for what I can get.
Could someone give me a range of what to expect from it. I want to be fair in what I ask.
Thanks first time poster
