Sonata Compression ratio

    Can anyone tell me the compression ratio of the 2.4 SOHC 8 valve engine
    (4GCS) used in the Hyundai Sonata circa 1991?

    According to the service manual, it's 8.5:1.

    Does the manual also give an expected compression reading (or
    acceptable range)?
