OK so my engine has the infamous tick that most Hyundai cars seem to get.I’ve been a mechanic for 30 years, I have taken the lifters out and cleaned them, put them back in and still get the tick.So my question is; Both heads have two oil rifles, one for the intake valves system and one for the exhaust. The one for the exhaust valves system just seem to dribble out oil no real pressure. The one for the intake valve assembly will shoot oil 15 feet across the room from the dump ports on each valve. Does anyone know how to clean that oil rifle out. NOTE; this is for the forward head only the back one seems to be fine.
I think that’s why my lifters are ticking.
