    Hi All..

Anyone know if the timing belt for a 1999 Accent 1.5 liter is the same
as the 2000 1.5 liter engine? I'm asking as the parts place didn't have a
listing for the 2000 but the 1999 had the same displacement engine..
    Thanks for your replies..

    Steve,

I would check with a local dealer. When I checked the prices at the
parts places, the dealer had a better price on the timing belt for my
    Sonota.

The dealer also looked up the correct belt referenced to the car
serial number. It seems there was a mid year change on mine. Not
sure if I would have gotten the correct belt if I went somewhere else.

    Just something to think about.

    Good Luck,

    Ed

    I show part # 24312-22010 for the 1999 and 24312-22611 for 2000.

Thanks a BIG bunch Hyundaitech for your reply. The store where I
purchased the belt from said there was no difference between those years but
I figured I'd check it out first so I didn't get 1/2 way through the job and
    find out.
    Once again, thanks.
