I talked to a salesman here (Fairfax (VA) Hyundai) about the Tucson.
    He told me:
    - that they'll be getting a few around the 4th of July,
    - that Hyundai is making only ~2600 for this model year,
    - And they'll cost about the same as the Santa Fe.

    Considering all that. I purchased a 2004 Santa Fe. V6, 2WD. Sunroof.
    Towhitch. Merlot.

5 days and about 286 miles later - I'm very happy with my purtchase.

    Mark,

Just curious who your salesman was at FFX, and your experience? I bought my
04 Elantra GT there from "C" who just happened to be outside having a smoke
when a mate and I pulled into the lot. Nice guy, and no pressure at all.
    Very helpful.

    Neil.

Actually, we bought our car from "C" (Syvong) also. I had traded some
emails ahead of time with the internet sales guy - IIRC: Thomas Kim.
When I asked for him, he came out apologized that he was needed to
sell a car to a Korean speaking only couple and passed us to "C". C
was a nice guy, and seemed to be fair with us. The Santa Fe was the
second Hyundai of the year that we bought form C. We bought an Elantra
GT for my wife back in January.

I did a $25 test drive of a 2005 Sante Fe yesterday at my dealer (N
Olmstead Imports) and learned the Tucson wil debut in AUGUST. That is
what I wanted to test drive. I also learned that no carpeting, just
plastic & leather seats which I hate i summer (sticking to them in
    shorts).
