All 4 tyres are the same make and size.
The rear 2 are fine but one front tyre is worn and I wondered if I could just change the front 2 with the same type and size.?

    Of course you can.
However, they usually put the more worn out ones in the front.
Tests shows there is more stability that way

Many thanks , I've been a bit confused by the differing reports between 4x4'a and awd's and needing all tyres changed or not!

Worse case is when you have to replace all four tires.
Usually, best to replace front or rear as a set.
