USB Folder File vs Sub Folders

Wondering if anyone has had this issue with their USB devices? I have 3,100 songs on a USB divided into 13 sub-folders. When I use random play it reads from one sub-folder only. Can I re-format the USB to ONE folder of all 3,100 files and get the random to play from this one folder only?

Okay, whatever. FYI...I did reformat the entire list into one folder and it seems to work just right...Thanks!
