What is 39º temperature light for?

Its to alert you that the temperature is approaching freezing. So you can be aware of slick roads. I've had other cars with this but they didn't chime until around 34 degrees. 39 seems a bit early to me.

Thank you! Yes, it is a bit early at 39. I wonder if there is a way to set it?
