I took my car to Monro and they said my brakes were fine. Then just today i
heard a wooshing sound comming from the back passanger side brake. It did
made the sound only twice,(well a totoal of 6 times, but only twice after
each start up) and it occured right when I turned my car on, after those
two times it stopped. I called the dealer and told them what was
happening, she said it could be becasue of the rain (its been raining for
the past 2 days). Is this correct? The monro person said that my front
brakes were an 8 and the back was a 3.

It's hard to say what the noise would be. I presume 8 and 3 refer to 32nds
of an inch left on your brakes.

Did this noise begin only after the brakes were checked?
Has it occurred on every start-up (or cold start) since the brakes were
    checked?
If so, then it's possible something may have pulled apart or not gone back
together correctly when they checked your brakes, and you should probably
ask them if they'd at least recheck that wheel. As for the rain causing
the noise, who knows? Could be. See if it's still there in dry weather.
Is your car stopping normally? If so, it can't be too bad.

First coupla times I use my Santa Fe brakes (in the morning) I get
a scraping (or dragging or whooshing) sound. Rust coming off the
discs. Goes away after a few stops. Probably can't hear it inside
high end cars - more soundproofing.

BTW, the above mentioned 'sounds' are all the same sound. =;-)
